For what reason should you use WordPress, and not another type of blogging software? WordPress is the top brand. It has existed for quite some time. There is an wide variety of themes available through WordPress. (The appearance and feel of your blog can be altered with themes.) There is no need to know how to design or code, unless you want to make a change to “canned” functionality.

Plug Ins: You can add things to your blog with plug-ins. If you know PHP, you can make your own or you can select third-party plug-ins. The WordPress website offers plug-ins. There are quite a few of them and they do everything you can imagine — there is even a plug-in that will generate an XML sitemap of your site for Google.

You have the entire administrative control with your blog when you use Wordpress. There are so many things that you can do. The user management functions of WordPress are excellent. For instance, authors can write articles and, upon approval, editors can publish those articles, while administrators can alter the design of the blog — but none will have “premisions: to do or alter the work of others.

Don’t waste hours of your time only to have to tear it all down and convert it over to Wordpress.
